Mae's Real Stories

At the zoo today we visited the new Elephant Odyssey exhibit, where there are lots of elephants, especially very old elephants that have retired to the zoo from other jobs. The Elephant Odyssey also tells about the Woolly Mammoths that used to live around California 12,000 years ago, and about the other birds and animals from that time. So here's Lenny with some extinct bird in that new exhibit, as well as some other birds and animals -- the meerkats are near the end of the elephant area. You can see kids sitting on statues of the woolly mammoths.
