Two Real Princesses

This is a picture of Princess Aiko of Japan and Princess Amalia of the Netherlands. They are real princesses. Aiko's grandfather is the Emperor of Japan. Amalia's grandmother is Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.

Princess Aiko's aunt just had a new baby. This baby boy might be the emperor when he grows up. Maybe Amalia will be the queen of the Netherlands when she grows up.

Being a princess is very old fashioned because you can only be a princess if your grandparents and parents are kings or queens or emperors. Most other people go to school to learn to do their jobs, like mathematicians and physicists and beauticians and doctors and grocery store clerks. Some jobs are harder and some are easier to learn, but only princes and princesses get their title because of their families.
