The comment I made was a general one....Dear Debbie,
The comment I made was a general one. I hardly even remember why I posted it on "That's the Press." But I really don't have any connection to the specific store that was being discussed: it was a comment on the general trend of that blog about the decline of newspapers and department stores. Sorry I can't help you.Mae Travelshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13328946930935633113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32348190.post-74149371537477032612010-09-09T16:13:09.184-04:002010-09-09T16:13:09.184-04:00Oh, by the way, I'm not sure how these things ...Oh, by the way, I'm not sure how these things work, if you choose to respond, will I read it here, or by email? I'm listening to Incubus myself. Righ...Hi Mae,
I'm listening to Incubus myself. Right at the moment. This goes back to your comment in 2008 about the shopping centers in Morristown, New Jersey, and how it was sad to see it closing, and the corporate attitudes changing and income potentials changing and that. To the point, I was cleaning my attic and the folks who lived here previously did not strike me as worldly, or not so much as department store advocates, but I found this flat box up there, and when I opened it it had a beaded necklace in it, or only parts of it, very old black beads and clear glass, very victorian or at least deco inspired. The box cover had M. Epstein Morristown on it. I live on the opposite side of PA, so that was something also. Did you remember your comment about this particular shopping center, or were you commenting in general? Did you ever shop there? Do you know how long it had been in business? I know from the article that Epsteins Department Store had closed. But this box looked like one offered from a jewelry store. If you could provide any insight, that would be great. Thanks, Debbie ZemkoDebbie Zemkonoreply@blogger.com
